Jewels

Last night/this morning it had rained, and when I went to feed the birds the sun was out. That early it shines on the north-west corner of the garden where the columbine (or lady's bonnet) plants are. I'd read about this but had only seen large droplets in the not quite opened leaves. This morning I was amazed to see all these jewels. I now have this picture as my desktop wallpaper and is 75% actual size. Apart from resizing, cropping and adding the border I haven't done any editing. Blogger will resize this to 1600 pixels from my 1680 pixels.

Rain

It's rained a lot recently and not being able to do much outside, decided to take some photos. I never used to mind the rain: it kept the yobbos off the streets but it makes working on the garden impossible and also keeps the birds away. The last photo is of the birds' bath/drinking water, not that I've ever seen one taking a bath.
